As a Celebrant and Ordained Minister, Cynthia has been performing weddings since 2008. She is kind, easy going and very flexible in accommodating the wishes and needs of the couples she works with. She spent several months studying the art of ceremony, and ways to weave ceremonies that reflect various world cultures, religions, rituals, and traditions. It is common for Cynthia to perform Interfaith ceremonies as well as ceremonies that are secular and is a supporter of marriage equality. Cynthia has a deep understanding of the significance of life events and the importance of recognizing these milestones in our lives.

Cynthia received her Certification as a Life Cycle Celebrant through the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in 2008 and spent 2 years receiving her Ordination as an Interfaith, Inter-Spiritual Minister through One Spirit Interfaith, Inter-Spiritual Seminary in New York. She also received her Ordination with The National Association of Congregational Churches and was Assistant Minister at First Congregational Church of Tacoma. Cynthia has a BA in Liberal Arts; attended Pacific Lutheran University and graduated from the Evergreen State College. While at PLU, she minored in Theology and Women's Studies then finished her degree at Evergreen with an emphasis in writing, psychology, and symbolic art. She has graduate studies Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and has worked as a counselor at Greater Lakes Mental Health. In 2018, Cynthia received her Doctor of Divinity. As part of this coursework, she completed 4-units (1600 hours) of Clinical Pastoral Education to be a Chaplain. Earlier in her career, she was owner of an award-winning business, for over twenty years and has successfully worked in sales and marketing for Fortune 500 companies.

Cynthia is the mother of three grown children and grandmother to six, and 2 grand-dogs. She was born and raised in the Puget Sound area and loves the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Cynthia has experienced a variety of challenges in her own life and takes these life experiences forward as wisdom builders in her work as a Celebrant, Minister and Chaplain. Cynthia's interests include watercolors and acrylic painting, writing and photography, spends a lot of time with her family, and is often found walking trails and along the waterfront as she has a deep love for nature and animals.
